Never stop dreaming.

10 months ago I had never completed a bikepacking trip. I had never ridden 100+ miles for more than 2 days in a row. My biggest mileage week was 540. I didn’t think breaking the supported record while riding solo was possible. I just broke that record by  over 8 days. I cannot comprehend what just happened. It will take so long to process everything that has happened to me. Through all the highs and lows, these have been the most incredible 76 days of my life and I cannot do enough to thank the people who made this possible. I appreciate you all so much.
Here is what I had to say about the attempt in a journal entry last January:
1/8/24 - “I’m so unbelievably naive. I watched the Strasser documentary again today. There is simply no way my ass can even approach that record. Strasser is one of the greatest endurance cyclists in history, a Redbull athlete with full support and getting the record nearly killed him. My dumbass thinks I can just go out for a little ride and beat that record? No. My chances of even finishing the ride are very low. I don’t know if I have a chance at beating the supported record. I don’t think it’s possible. I only have a dream. Hopefully that is enough.”
