Today was “Professional Headshot Day” at work

Up And At ‘Em

A long run!

There are no words, but I’ll try anyways.  This was the culmination of 12 weeks of the best training ever. From putting myself back together again to finding a strength inside me that I didn’t know existed.  We cruised through 20 miles and even through 22 wasn’t bad, then the mother of all side stitches hit and it was all I could do to just grit it out and keep the rest of the miles under 8. Yet when I got close to the end I had enough to let it rip to sneak under 3:14. I leaned on the rail and just cried for a few because it was just everything. What I pulled myself out of, and what I managed to accomplish and make my lifelong goal of qualifying for Boston, and it’s a no doubt 6 min buffer at that. 

I’ll never forget this one. This, this was my race of a lifetime. ❤️

Partly/mostly cloudy, 45 start/55 finish, se wind 12 mph
