Lake Solano to Angel Island

So much fun. The beginning part of the ride was a bit rough. 10-15 mph sustained headwinds, but being mid October and have the lovely temps can’t be beat. 

Had to get to the ferry by 5p, and was trending on time. Get stuck at a train crossing for like 10 minutes. Which cool. Train stops doing their thing gates go up, half mile later, I hit a crazy bump that bounced the rear rack and it catches the tire, locks it up, and bends it. Takes about 10-15 minutes to get it resolved make it to East Bros. Beer company. Enjoyed a beer and realized my buffer has dwindled to we got 2 hours to 90 minutes of ride time. No whammies, we gotz ya go. 

Coming out of Richmond just before hitting the bridge, we get a whammy. The rack bounced again and caught the wheel and locked up the wheel. Had to pull everything out tighten things up and rebend it. 15 minutes back on the road. Right near HWY 101, thing got confusing on the bike route, and in down shifting, chain slips. And it’s a doozy. It slips passed the guard on the crank. Takes about 7 -10 minutes to resolve that situation all the while thing, what’s the back up plan if I miss the ferry? Anyway, mile 68 there isn’t a lot of giddy up in the legs. It’s 455, and I realize I in tiberon at the ferry. Sweet! I make it! In the line and look up and see Solano on the Feery coming in. This doesn’t seem right. Decide to ask, which line we in, they all say, we going to the city. Angel Islad ferry is the other one. 504, I make it there and they radio to the ferry to redock so I could get on it. *whew* I made it! Time to chill with the boys from Levee Patrol
