Trang wins the big poverty bucks for a top age group spot.

Looks like I was a couple minutes slower than last year. I could have shaved off some time by popping a vitamin I pre-race for more confidence on the high-speed descents, as well as leaving my shirt at the starting line rather than having to take it off a couple miles in. I was feeling the power a lot more last year, a feeling which I only had for the last mile and a half this year. 

There are the two biggest ascents. Me and the veterinarian made sure to run them which gained us about 30 seconds to our contemporary walkers. But then the walkers would come rumbling back a mile later. It felt as if we were racing against downhill runners that knew no boundary to risking a catastrophic fall. They probably had innate vitamin I in their blood
