Morning Ride

Lael Wilcox is doing a solo ride around the world. She has a tracker:
https://content.rapha.cc/us/en/story/laels-ride-around-the-world so I was able to meet up when she passed through San Gregorio. I drove South from HMB on 101, until I passed a cyclist that looked like it was probably her, then pulled over at the top of Stage Rd in San Gregorio where a small group was waiting for her with a "GO LAEL" sign. It turns out one of the group was her aunt! Lael (with 3 other riders) pulled up, chatted with her aunt for a while, then 6 of us rode South together. I went as far as Pescadero Beach and then wished her luck and turned back. The rules for a round the world ride specify 18,000 miles, so assuming Lael makes it (and very possibly sets a new world record), I will have contributed moral support to 0.03% of the ride.
