This was not at all what I expected haha. First hour or two was during a thunder storm so I got totally soaked and the headwind was insane. Cool lightning though! Going through the mountains was tough. I'm glad I got the gravel bike, some of the terrain was mountain bike appropriate lol. I'm so happy the rest of this ride is mostly flat though, hauling all your stuff makes a huge difference to endurance. 🥵
