7th last person standing. 30 hours/loops.

Here's some quick notes on what happened at the race. 

I went there with the goal of winning or getting 50 loops or above to try to make Team Canada. I got my ass kicked instead. Maybe I'll try again in 2026 the next time there's a World's competition.

After a very hot day with a feels-like high of 97F I was pretty drained. At 5am I puked 5 times and emptied out. At 6am I dry heaved 8 times. I recovered. I pulled something in an ab muscle. I peed red (blood), recovered back to normal and then fell back into it. It happened to me once before, also this year at the FAwR. I need to figure out my hydration better. It's especially important I don't risk it though because I was born with only 1 kidney. I was able to do loops at a very slow pace but knew I wouldn't knock out 6 others. And I didn't want to end up in the hospital. It just wasn't in the cards for me. I'm not disappointed, if anything a bit relieved that I don't have to go through that again at the World's competition in 2 months. 

Ronnie was aiming for 24 but stopped at 11. He successfully got in all the hot loops though. He did amazing. Great father-son bonding time. 

Thanks to Kamil Jozwiak for crewing and for Shannon Bondy, Link, Asher for stopping by. Viktoria Brown crewed for a couple hours but was planning to crew for longer if I had done my part of the bargain.
