Somewhat warm and humid day, but the weather got nicer and milder as the ride went on. Got a flat less than a mile after turning around halfway to head back home. Saw a road I hadn't ridden on and said, "Hey let's check this out!" Not even 100ft after turning onto it I hear a pop and air hissing out of my back tire. It was totally flat by the time I stopped. Some big hunk of bent wire that just demolished the inner tube. There was a conveniently placed traffic cone right where I stopped to lean my bike on which was nice. Luckily made it home without getting another flat. So much for checking out new roads!
