A good step in the right direction

26:40 on a super hot day. Lots of carnage. Close to a 50% drop rate at the end of the race. I survived the heat, but was definitely slowed. I puked everything up after mile 30 aid, but rallied without a bonk. Never really bonked all day, my nutrition plan to eat high carb maurtens worked well. Consumed 300ish cals/hr for the first 12, with more real food in the back half. Once the temps cooled, I ground out 4ish miles/hr all night long. The last 15 miles had a ton of pain caving. I really dug deep.

So I'm really happy with this time. Not 24, but who really cares about a silly number
