Misty start, some road works, some landslides that had to be walked. Passed a major traffic jam caused by two trucks that got stuck together.
Lots of Westerners on scooters, one ended up in a ditch when coming towards me.
Made it all the way to Lao-Vietnam border,  got done with that quickly, but on the way down I realised that the whole 15 km of descent is a massive road work, so I hitched a ride in a pickup, that drove me last 30 km.
