7th Higashi Tanzawa Miyagase Trail Race

3:06:54, 40th overall, 6th +40yo.
Finally, my first podium in a trail race in Japan. The "in Japan" doesn't mean that I had plenty of podium in France. Actually I had only one in a small race (Trail de la dame blanche) and in my age category. Today, it is also in my age category, with the last position that gave access to podium (6th), in a relatively small race (315 people in the start list in my category). Anyway, I'm quiet happy with that émoticône smile
Last year, this race was taking place 5 days before UTMF, so I ran it very slowly (4:24). This year, after checking last year results, I thought that I might be able to make it to the podium. Last year the 7th place finished in 3:16 and the 2d in 3:06, so my goal was 3:15 and if possible, 3:05. I finished in 3:06:54. Hopefully. Because this year, 3:15 would not have been sufficient. Last year, conditions were bad, very cold, snow, mud. This year, almost perfect.
Today was even more enjoyable because there were many friends there: Kevin (~3:13), Lawrence (~3:15), Yukiko (3:43, 3rd overall and 2d of her age group for her second trail, congratulations!), Mark, Fukumori. And Yuki who did not run because she's taking care of her rebellious ankle.
