Upon the asphalt beast I did skate,
A leisurely roll, no sweat to break.
Two and a half kilometers, a gentle glide,
As the world did whizz by, I watched with pride.

Fourteen meters I ascended, it is true,
But my legs felt fresh, not even askew.
My heart, at one hundred thirty-six, thumped with beat,
A testament to my athletic feat.

Yes, it was an easy ride, I must confess,
But on my strava, it won't be suppressed.
For an easy ride is still a ride complete,
And progress, dear friends, is always sweet.
